When planning your wedding budget, prioritise your expenditure to suit your own preferences, rather than following a budget chart. Think outside the square, get creative with your options and explore how you can best achieve what you want within your budget. Think of each element of your planning and decide whether to use a professional or ‘do it yourself'. Research options until you are confident that you have found the best suppliers within your reach.

To allocate our wedding budget to suit our wedding, we assessed which things we could do ourselves, which items we could hand over to trusted family members and friends, and which services we wanted to outsource.
